The Aquifer Sedimentology Research Group is led by Dr. Jesse T. Korus and is part of the Conservation and Survey Division (Nebraska Geological Survey) at UNL. Nebraska is an ideal place to study groundwater. It overlies the vast High Plains/Ogallala aquifer system and it has more acres of irrigated crops than any other state in the U.S.  The importance of water to this state, as well as the availability of a wide range of geological, hydrogeological, and geophysical data maintained by the Conservation and Survey Division and its partners, makes Nebraska an exciting, world-class location for groundwater research.
